Louise Mazoletti

Lou holds a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psych), Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice (Hons), Restrictive Practice Trainer (MAYBO), and is finalising a Master of Mental Health Practice. For the past two decades, Lou has worked across an array of sectors including Child Safety, non-profit Agencies (mainly Out of Home Care), Brisbane Youth Detention Centre, Griffith University, Community Legal Centres, and the Disability sector.

Lou has a person-centred approach and vast experience in trauma informed practices, specifically with children, adolescents, their families and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. She is devoted to enhancing her client’s best interests, by developing behavioural strategies, therapeutic crisis intervention techniques, and coping skills; to overcome obstacles that confront daily living choices. Her empathetic approach empowers confidence and self-worth for her clients, creating greater choice and control in their lives.

Lou has a keen interest around comorbidity diagnoses (specifically depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, ADHD and ASD). Her passion and expertise are evidenced by outcomes having assisted clients with challenging behaviours, manifested by trauma,disability or innate genetic factors.
